Savant on Forbes 2019 Best-in-State Wealth Advisors List

Savant Capital Management, a nationally-recognized, fee-only wealth management firm headquartered in Rockford, announced today that CEO and Financial Advisor Brent Brodeski and Financial Advisor Jakob Loescher have been named to Forbes’ 2019 list of Best-in-State Wealth Advisors. The ranking includes 84 Illinois-based wealth management advisors, outside of Chicago, naming Brodeski #2 and Loescher #38.

Forbes is an American business magazine and a leading source for reliable business news and financial information. The Forbes ranking of Best-in-State Wealth Advisors spotlights more than 3,000 advisors who have been ranked in their respective states. Advisors were nominated by their firms – and then researched, interviewed and assigned a ranking within their respective states by SHOOK Research.

Brodeski co-founded Savant, which manages nearly $6 billion in assets and employs more than 150 team members. Headquartered in Rockford, Savant also has offices in Chicago, Downers Grove, Freeport, Hoffman Estates, Naperville, Peoria, St. Charles, Sterling, and Wilmette; Santa Fe, New Mexico; McLean, Virginia; and Madison and Park Falls, Wisconsin.

Loescher, who started as an intern with Savant and is now a financial advisor in the firm’s Rockford office and an employee member of the firm, was also recently ranked #10 in Forbes’ list of America’s Top Next-Gen Advisors in 2018. He has been involved in the financial services industry since 2007.

“I am honored to join Jake in being recognized by Forbes on this year’s Best-in-State Wealth Advisors list,” said Brodeski. “Our team works in our clients’ best interest every day and recognitions like this reflect our passion and drive to help our clients build their ideal futures.”

More than 29,000 nominations were received for the Forbes recognition. According to SHOOK, the rankings are based on in-person interviews, industry experience, compliance records, revenue produced, and assets under management. View the complete list of the Best-in-State Wealth Advisors.

Award Criteria

SHOOK scours the financial services industry—banks, brokerages, custodians, insurance companies, clearing houses and others for nominations. SHOOK accepts advisors who meet pre-determined minimum thresholds and acceptable compliance records. As of this date, SHOOK has received almost 30,000 nominations—advisors who meet SHOOK’s thresholds. SHOOK invited 5,961 of these nominees to complete an online survey. Unlike other advisor rankings, SHOOK is not a “robo-ranker”—numbers such as production and assets don’t tell the whole story, especially when much of the data is self-reported. SHOOK Research creates rankings of role models—advisors that are leading the way in offering best practices and providing a high-quality experience for clients. A focus on both quantitative and qualitative factors, including telephone and in-person meetings, is imperative.
